Beginning in the gentle hue of phthalo blue to the rustic tones of umber, Swanson evolves her exquisite, knitted lattice to join hands with darkened tones of black, navy blue and brown. Carrying her composition to a quieter terrain, she deepens its planes with brown and bronze as she gracefully matures her stitched progression. On the surface, she skillfully adheres silver discs to her work. Fluidly the lustrous school flows across the side of the work to coalesce towards its core.
